Top 100 Best Rooster Tattoos For Women – Chicken Design Ideas

No chicken coop is complete with a rooster. When it comes to flocks and pecking orders, there’s always a rooster that has a superior sense of social hierarchy.

I miss the days of having baby chicks shuffling around in their cozy box. Their graceful cuddles under the heat lamp where just too precious.

It’s truly amazing how fast chickens can grow, and rather magical to see what these tiny nuggets of fluff turn into. These days, we’ve got giant birds in our backyards, and some of them crow to their heart’s content.

Of the handful, we’ve got three roosters, with one silky being my own personal favorite. We call this one “Citrine”, named after the gemstone. He’s incredibly sweet and a curious little creature who will walk up to anyone to investigate things for himself.

When it comes to tattoos, I find the rooster to be a fantastic spirit animal worth considering. Let’s face it, the rooster is the guardian and protector of the flock. Roosters take on the responsibility of being brave, bold and brazen. Their feisty nature is truly one of a kind and their obsession for drama and high energy stimulation is unmatched.

If you love all things covered in feathers or perhaps just like to strut your stuff like this awesome birds, then perhaps a rooster design is for you. For many women, the rooster is a perfect symbol that represents the entire flock in one go.

Aside from being passionate about raising chickens, you may be surprised to know that there are a ton of hidden meanings behind this animal. For one, the rooster is seen as a mascot to the five virtues in China: Confidence, kindness, courage, civil responsibility and martial fidelity.

In Japan, you’ll find a story of the Rooster who drew Amaterasu of the cave, thus giving the sun back to the world. Native Americas considered this wonderful feathered creature to be a symbol of fertility, protection, resurrection and the sun. While this has a heavier emphasis on males, I strongly believe the symbol can easily be attached to females as well.

Look further and you can find all sorts of other meanings in folklore, religions and so on. For instance, in the Jewish religion, the rooster is a brilliant symbol of things like honesty and courtesy.

Regardless of how you see these birds, one thing is certain: They are powerful creatures with a lot of admirable and handsome characterics.

Why do so many women gravitate towards rooster designs?:

Well, let’s face it, roosters are one of the most iconic animals in the world. They are known for their loud crowing, their bright colors, and their proud demeanor. Roosters have been a part of human culture for centuries, and they have been celebrated in art, literature, and folklore. There are many reasons why I love roosters, and here are just a few of them.

First of all, I love roosters because they are so beautiful. Roosters come in a variety of colors and patterns, from the classic red-and-black barred pattern to the more exotic blue-and-green laced pattern. No matter what color or pattern they have, roosters always look majestic and regal. I also love the way they strut around with their heads held high, as if they know they are the king of the barnyard.

Second, I love roosters because they are so loud. Roosters are known for their loud crowing, which can be heard from miles away. This is why roosters have been used as alarm clocks for centuries; their crowing is a sure sign that it is time to wake up and start the day. I also love the way roosters crow at dawn; it is a reminder that a new day is beginning and that anything is possible.

Third, I love roosters because they are so protective. Roosters will fiercely defend their flock from predators and other threats. They will even fight to the death if necessary to protect their family. This loyalty and courage is something that I admire in any animal, and it is one of the reasons why I love roosters so much.

Fourth, I love roosters because they are so intelligent. Roosters can recognize faces and remember people who have been kind to them in the past. They can also learn tricks and commands, which makes them great pets for those who want an intelligent companion.

Finally, roosters are so full of life and what woman doesn’t admire that? Roosters always seem to be having fun; whether they’re chasing bugs or playing with their flockmates, they always seem to be enjoying themselves. This zest for life is something that I find inspiring and uplifting!

Adorable Rooster Tattoo Designs For Women

Check out this colorful, old-school traditional women’s leg calf rooster tattoo. I love how a second bird has landed onto of the rooster; it reminds me of how different and unique two birds can be. For a touch of fun, there’s a shot glass plus glasses on the rooster as well. Note the wonderful gradient shading on the claws with white ink tips, and the finely detailed black ink dotwork, plus negative space style on the feathers.

Alluring Ladies Rooster Tattoo Ideas

You can easily omit the body of the chicken to give the rooster a small footprint on your skin. Here’s an awesome example of a female outer forearm rooster tattoo. The old school traditional design is pretty simple yet really fun to look at. A small rising sun in the background gives this crowing bird a bit more depth.

Amazing Rooster Tattoo Ideas For Women

Let’s face it, roosters are tough creatures of nature. Here’s a bold chicken themed design feature an angry looking bird just above a piece of solid gold chain link. Vibrant colors really make this inner forearm tattoo shine. While this design isn’t overly feminine, it should still give you some great creative inspiration.

Appealing Womens Rooster Tattoos

Here’s an amazing neo traditional rooster tattoo featuring a head portrait, two wheat stalks and a sharp slashing claw at the bottom. Take note of how the artist has used the claw to stop the lower portion of the chicken’s body to save space and limit the size of the design.
