Azure nails are a type of dipped powder nails. It’s like halfway between a regular polish manicure and getting acrylic nails.
Instead of using nail polish, the color comes from pigmented powder. This manicure style is known to last more than two weeks especially if done on natural nails.
Why don’t we just repeat that one more time to let it sink in: your natural nails manicure can last for 2 weeks plus with Azure nails.
Between applying the base coat and top coat, you go through a process of dipping your nails into the desired color powder which, combined with a special polish adhesive, creates the nail color.
The Azure sealant locks it all down. Finish with a top coat and you’re good to go. Nail powders dry very quickly and you don’t have to use UV light like you would with gel.
While Azure nail powder dries quickly, there are many steps to the process. Realistically it will probably take a little longer than an average polish manicure.
With that said, an average polish manicure is only going to last a week or so (especially on natural nails) so you’ll get your time back with a long-lasting Azure manicure.
Azure nails are similar to gel in terms of the longevity and appearance of the manicure. Removing them is also similar.
Just like gels, you need to soak the nails in acetone to remove Azure nails. Be sure to follow up with cuticle oil and hand moisturizer, as acetone is very drying.
Azure nail powder comes in loads of regular colors and bold glitters. If the idea of doing this type of manicure (or pedicure) is intimidating to you, then visit a nail salon.
Kick back and relax while they give you a mani/pedi that will outlast your summer vacation.
