From the Duomo to the Piazza Santa Spirito, Church of Santa Croce, and beyond, Florence is the place for you if you like architecture wonders.
Turn after turn; you’ll find that Florence is teeming with architectural beauty everywhere. After taking in so much of it, we concluded that being a tourist is, well, somewhat taxing. It’s genuinely exhausting in a place like Florence. Not only are the swarms of crowds rather tiring, but the walking will quite honestly wear you down. Florence is home to so many great restaurants, buildings, shops, and beyond that, you will feel like you’re missing out even when you’ve got a rock-solid plan to follow.
Speaking of plan, we ended up ditching the one we had created initially before flying to Italy. When you’re in the moment in a place like Florence, you kind of just want to do your own thing, and so we did. And honestly, it all worked out; had we not, we would have never discovered places like All’Antico Vinaio, a local sandwich shop. Delicious is an understatement.
With that said, go ahead and explore our collection of travel photos below and see all that Florence has to offer.
