If it’s good enough for Cinderella, it’s probably good enough for most brides, although we wouldn’t count on any of your centerpieces magically turning into a coach. You will probably want to call a limousine service for your getaway car! Reception food options are plentiful in the fall of the year. Since it’s harvest time, you will be able to choose from a plethora of seasonal goodies such as apples, figs and root vegetables.
Consider offering guests a cup of hot apple cider instead of a traditional alcohol based drink. And of course, serving pumpkin spice lattes would be a nice compliment to a tower of cinnamon rolls which could be served instead of a traditional cake. Want a more relaxed reception? A fall bon fire is the perfect end to an autumn wedding. No need for a fancy reception when you can snuggle under blankets, roast marshmallows and sing around a bon fire. This is obviously best for a casual wedding with a small guest list.
Send guests home with a useful treat that reminds them of your epic autumn wedding. Stack marshmallows, chocolate bar pieces and graham crackers in a cellophane bag so guests can create their own s’mores at home. Or give each guest a beautifully decorated caramel apple.
