There are plenty of great Christmas wedding ideas you can incorporate into your special day as well.
Use traditional Christmas colors — red, white and green — for your entire wedding theme. You can do something cool with these colors with your wedding invitations. For example, consider having the invitation card stark white with red and green accents. You can use red or green for the envelopes and even include a cute miniature Christmas ornament with the invitations for your guests.
For your wedding venue, you can set up a holiday tree fully decked out for the occasion. Add Christmas ornaments and candy canes and top it off with a star.
You can even go cuter by adding a bride and groom on top of the tree like you would do on the wedding cake. Set up centerpieces for the tables at your reception using traditional winter plants. You can have evergreen leaves, hollies, red berries and tie them together with a red, white or green satin or silk bow for a nice added touch. The chairs in the reception hall can be decorated with white fabric with a holiday bow tied around them.
For a Christmas wedding, you will certainly want to serve your guests a signature holiday drink for your cocktail hour. Eggnog is a big favorite but can be made into an adult drink by adding a little rum or gin to it.
Add in some peppermint to give it that extra Christmasy twist that is sure to whet everyone’s palate.
