It isn’t quite what he had in mind (Eeyore wanted something more substantial), but he soon grows fond of it anyway: “It isn’t bad at all… Not bad at all… I think I’ll keep it.” From then on, it becomes known as “Eeyore’s Gloomy Place”.
3. When He Meets Tigger – One of the highlights from Disney’s 1968 animated feature film adaptation is when Tigger meets up with Eeyore in order to cheer him up after losing his tail again (this time due to Pooh playing pin-the-tail). 5. When He Gets a New Tail – In Disney’s 2011 feature film Winnie The Pooh, Christopher Robin surprises Eeyore with a new tail made of felt and ribbon which he dubs “the Thinking Tail”. With his usual dry wit and self-deprecation, Eeyore remarks “Ah yes… Not much good for sitting on thistles though…but that was never my strong point.”
6. When He Has Tea with Piglet – Another classic moment from the original books occurs when Piglet invites Eeyore to have tea with him in order to cheer him up after losing his tail again (for the third time). 8. When He Does Yoga – In one of Disney’s more recent shorts A Day For Eeyore (2016), we see an unlikely sight: Eeyore doing yoga! After being cheered up by Owl and Tigger in their own unique ways, they convince him to try out some yoga poses in order to relax and clear his mind: “Feels quite nice actually… Yes indeed.”
