While the television series may vanished from Cartoon Network one thing hasn’t: The lifelong lessons the show aimed to teach both kids and adults alike.
Courage was a brilliant example of how one can face inescapable circumstances with well, courage, and ultimately come to the conclusion that fear can be okay at times. Sometimes we must pull up our pants, tighten our belt and march forward with our head held high and our hearts nervously pounding out of our chests. In other words, we’ve got to at one point or another, face our fears.
While the lessons behind the show were wonderful and honorable, I personally find the plot, characters and animation to be oh so, charming. Let’s face it, who doesn’t love dogs these days? Give a beagle a pink coat and wham, he’s even cuter than before!
Speaking of the story, it stars with Courage escaping from the Pets of Tomorrow vet clinic. Alone in the town of Nowhere, Kansas, he would eventually be adopted by Muriel Bagge. Unfortunately, this also meant Courage would have to be around Muriel’s husband, the old cranky gentleman known as Eustace Bagge. From Katz to Jeeves Weevil, the show is full of antagonists with all sorts of different stories.
No matter what you’re connection to the show or who your favorite cartoon characters are, I’m sure you’ll love these Courage the Cowardly dog themed tattoos below.
